It had amounted to about 60 trees since they began. To be frank, if you drive a mile in central London, you’re likely to pass 60 trees. It didn’t impress me. And that’s why our approach needed to be bigger, better, bolder, and greener. If you total up the number of nautical miles flown on a single charter, every contract we execute can have a huge impact. It also gives our clients an added incentive. Our profile page on Ecologi means they can view their contributions — we purchase the tree planting against a unique code which represents the flight, and this is sent to the client. While their direct business benefits might not be immediate, many clients see this as a conscious effort on their part and take pride in knowing their flight not only performed as scheduled but also planted so many trees along the way. I’d encourage all the charter brokers to do something similar as our collective efforts could have an incredibly positive impact on the territory we overfly”.
